Merge PDFs

Merge PDFs into a single document

Up to 20 files, in the order you choose, lossless assembly.

PDF Max. 10 MB / file, up to 200 MB on Premium

How it works

  1. Select 2 PDF files on Free (up to 20 on Premium). The selection order determines the page order in the final PDF.
  2. Click Merge. Assembly is instant — no page re-encoding, source content is preserved bit by bit.
  3. Download the merged PDF. Source files and result are deleted after 1 hour.

Lossless merge

The merge operates at the native PDF object level, with no compression pass or re-encoding: pages, fonts, images and bookmarks from each source PDF are preserved identically in the final document. No quality loss, no forced page size or orientation change.

To reorder files, select them in the desired order. To insert a PDF in the middle of another, merge the parts into several intermediate PDFs first, then assemble them in the final order.

Limits and formats

Accepted formats: PDF only (all versions, PDF/A, PDFs with layers, read-protected PDFs without password). File count: 2 per merge on Free, up to 20 on Premium. Size: 10 MB per file on Free, 200 MB on Premium. To merge more PDFs, run several intermediate merges then a final merge.

Privacy and security

The merge runs on our servers in France (OVH Gravelines). No US third party is involved in the merge process — no CDN, no storage, no tracker. Your PDFs are never indexed, analyzed or inspected. No result is cached.

The source PDFs and the merged PDF are deleted after one hour. If you create a share link, a copy of the merged PDF is kept for the period you chose (up to 7 days on Free and 30 days on Premium). You can delete the share (and therefore the PDF) at any time. conv2pdf is GDPR-compliant, and a DPA is available on request for professional use.

Frequently asked questions

How many PDFs can I merge at once?

2 files on Free, up to 20 on Premium. To merge more PDFs, chain several intermediate merges.

Can I reorder pages after selection?

The order is fixed by the file selection order. For a different order, re-select the files in the desired sequence. A future version will provide drag-and-drop reordering before merge.

Are password-protected PDFs accepted?

Read-password-protected PDFs cannot be merged as-is — the password must be removed first (via Adobe Reader or equivalent) before submission.

Is the resulting PDF larger than the sum of sources?

No. The merge preserves the combined size of the sources, within a few kilobytes (metadata). To reduce the result size, chain with the Compress PDF tool.
